Accra Sports Stadium Pitch “Unplayable” – Raja Casablanca Claims

Head coach of Moroccan giant, Raja Casablanca, Rusmir Cviko has blamed the poor state of the Accra Sports Stadium pitch as a reason why
his team failed to win against Samatex 1996 in their CAF Champions League encounter.

Raja Casablanca drew two all against the Ghanaian champions in the first leg of the CAF Champions league second preliminary round at the Accra sports stadium.

The visitors left it late with Mohammed Boulacsout stunning the home fans with an equalizer allowing Raja Casablanca to take a point back to Morocco.

Rusmir Cviko, who was in the dugout for Raja Casablanca attributed his team’s inability to win the the poor state of the pitch.

“I am not happy. I am happy that we did not lose the game. Normally, we must win this game but the field is not possible to play on. ” The head coach told the press.

Samatext will travel to Casablanca next week for the second leg in what will be a decider for both clubs who will be aiming to progress to the next stage of the competition.
