Stop Insulting Us – Hearts of Oak Coach Aboubakar Ouattara Tells Supporters

Head coach of Accra Hearts of Oak, Aboubakar Ouattara has hit back at the club’s supporters after several backlashes following the team’s 1-0 defeat in their opening Ghana Premier League game of the season.

Hearts of Oak suffered bowed down to a painful defeat against newly promoted Baseke Holy Stars in week one of the Ghana Premier League last weekend at the Accra Sports stadium.

The defeat left several supporters of the club in disbelieve, raising concerns over the competency of their Ivorian gaffer, Aboubakar Ouattara.

Ahead of Hearts of Oak’s trip to Kpando to face Heart of Lions, Aboubakar Ouattara has stated to accept criticism in good faith but, is however, urging the fan base to quit the habit of insult especially when the expected results are not being produced.

Aboubakar Ouattara who joined Accra Hearts of Oak last season believes that it will be a long way up in obtaining the right level and standard but insults cannot solve the problem.

“Criticizing the team is normal but insulting us is not good because insults can’t solve the problem.” Aboubakar Ouattara told the club’s media.

Hearts of Oak placed 14th last season under Aboubakar Ouattara, and will be hoping to win their first Premier League game of the season when they face Heart of Lions who are yet to lose a Ghana Premier League home game at the Kpando Stadium since February 2024.
